Over 80 people showed up to Prayerwalk at the Mexican Consulate Friday evening including key leaders from both the Hispanic and African-American communities. The Omaha Chief of Police assigned officers to watch over us as Hispanics, Anglo, and African American believers walked and prayed together in Christian love and unity. Leaders from the Mexican Consulate expressed thanks to Chief Warren for our prayerwalking presence.. We based our prayers around Romans 12:9-21. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” God’s way of defeating hate is with His love. …truth defeats lies and God’s love in us overcomes hate. We believed that moving in the opposite spirit was the best way defeat the racial hatred of the Neo-Nazis… We overcome evil with good; God’s love conquers hate and Truth defeats lies. We drive out the darkness simply by turning on the light. Click here to see the Prayerwalking Guide |

One group interceded just for the police, as other groups’ prayerwalked the Consulate and street area around it… There was a definite air of spiritual victory and even joy as we prayed.

A powerful moment was when the daughter of German Nazis prayed against the spirit behind this deception while African-American, Hispanics, and Anglo’s laid hands on her in agreement. We prayed that the spiritual power of Satan behind the Neo-Nazis would be people would just stay away and the media would have little to report. We then demonstrated our love and unity by blessing across all racial heritages the spiritual leaders at the prayerwalk. |

We ended with a unified declaration of Lordship of Jesus Christ over the area and requests to God for Divine intervention in the Neo-Nazi Rally. Afterward people from all racial heritages hung around and talked as the Lord gave us a taste of fellowship in the larger family of God. Many people expressed a desire to be part of more prayerwalking like this and we encouraged them to just go out and spontaneously do it all over the city. |

On Saturday we saw evidence of Divine intervention. About 330 police from 10 agencies were there to keep the peace, but the Neo-Nazis could only muster 50 to 65 supporters at their rally… Less than half of what they were expecting and they closed down their two hour rally after just one hour. We saw more people come to pray with just two days of emails than the Neo-Nazis could get with months of planning and public announcements. My policeman friend said that, there was not one significant incident and they had a fairly quiet afternoon. Praise Our Mighty and Awesome God! |
