The FreshStart trip to Tijuana in May was remarkable in many ways: The schedule and goals usually change after we get there so I tend to worry for a few days until God reveals His purposes and does things only He can do…I know that without him we can do nothing and your prayers are vital.

Our focus with Pastor Steve Peterson and His FreshStart team was a “fresh start for every heart” especially to impact leaders.  The opportunities were many and varied:

  • Pastors and their wives,

  • Teenage young people (of pastors and their wives),

  • Individuals and married couples who work in the mental health profession,

  • Leaders of each of the Christ For The City Orphanages,

  • A worship leader and his wife,

  • And other key city leaders in Tijuana!

21 ministry appointments!!! …usually lasting about two hours each.

In San Diego we did a Saturday PrayerWalking Workshop with the CFCI Ocean Beach Ministry Base.

Plus we had an amazing service on Sunday morning where we prayed for and God touched hundreds for over four hours. I love how the Latin’s never put God on a clock…

Our final ministry appointment with "the" key evangelical leader in Tijuana (and his wife and son) was the exclamation point of our entire week-long mission!  The Lord allowed us the privilege of participating in a ministry of profound deliverance, heart transformation, and marriage and family reconciliation.

Shortly after the trip I received this email from Tijuana: Hello, there are wonderful reports of the life of the leaders experiencing a major change in their lives and ministries, after your visit. I sense that the level of spiritual warfare has increased in our city, I have been experiencing in the last three days: headaches, dizziness and lost of energy, God is teaching me how to live in victory, over this attacks. I would appreciate your prayers and others that you could share this request. Rosa health has improved through the recommendations of [team member]  Doctor Ted Segura. Blessings!   Jesús Rodríguez
